### The Space

This large, older home offers a level of space rarely found in newer properties.

The home's mature trees and natural surroundings create a peaceful retreat while still providing easy access to shopping, restaurants, hospitals, schools, and entertainment.

Guests have access to the living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, screened porch, patio, fire pit area, kitchen, laundry facilities, and outdoor spaces.

### Important Property Information

This is my personal residence, and one of the reasons I am able to share it with guests is because my work and travel schedule frequently takes me away from home for extended periods.

Rather than leaving the property sitting empty, I enjoy opening it to travelers, families, professionals, and guests who appreciate the unique character, space, and peaceful setting the home provides.

Because this is a lived-in home, guests may notice personal touches, books, dΓ©cor, pantry items, household supplies, and other signs that this is a well-loved residence rather than a hotel or investment property. Many guests find this creates a more comfortable and authentic experience.

The owner is typically away during guest stays. However, in rare circumstances, brief access may occasionally be required to retrieve work materials, maintenance supplies, or equipment used to support other local properties. Whenever possible, advance notice will be provided, visits are kept brief, and every effort is made to avoid disrupting your stay.

### Guest Access

Guests will enjoy access to:

β€’ Living rooms

β€’ Guest bedrooms

β€’ Bathrooms

β€’ Kitchen

β€’ Laundry facilities

β€’ Screened porch

β€’ Fire pit

β€’ Outdoor patio

β€’ BBQ grill

β€’ Large yard

β€’ Parking areas

### Areas Not Included

To help set expectations:

β€’ The garage is reserved for owner storage and maintenance equipment and is not available for guest use.

β€’ Certain closets, cabinets, storage rooms, utility areas, or workspaces may be locked or designated for owner use.

### Nature & Country Living

One of the greatest features of this property is its wooded setting. With that comes all of the beauty and realities of country living.

Guests should expect to occasionally encounter:

β€’ Deer

β€’ Wild turkeys

β€’ Songbirds

β€’ Hawks

β€’ Squirrels

β€’ Seasonal insects

β€’ Spiders

β€’ Stink bugs

β€’ Other outdoor wildlife common to wooded environments

Despite regular maintenance and pest-control efforts, occasional bugs are simply part of living among the trees and natural surroundings.

Nice, secluded home. Large open floor print for the shared areas. A bit limited kitchen space and kitchenware.

Lovely property with lots of great landscaping! Also loved all the tiffany lamps in the house!

We've gone back and forth on how to review this stay. We want to be kind, as we don't know the circumstances behind the rental, but being misled wasn't kind either. Honestly, this was a 2-star stay, I gave a 3-star because the property managers were lovely, responsive, and helpful. The setting is beautiful, with gorgeous trees and a wonderful wooded walking area nearby, though the busy road made being outside less peaceful. Our biggest issue was cleanliness! We arrived after a two-day drive to a FILTHY house and spent considerable time disinfecting. Dirty pillows, smelly blankets, dog hair, and grime throughout made us uncomfortable. The $50 refund did not feel adequate. There were also mice, unpleasant-smelling well water, unreliable internet, and a lot of noise between floors. The beds were comfortable, but overall, the dirtiness and odors overshadowed everything. We had a roof over our heads, but for the price, the experience was disappointing/undeserved and we would not return.
